It's BLOG CANDY TIME!

I LOVE photography, scrapbooking and paper crafting. Surprised? You shouldn't be. With my memory issue, it's important that I photograph important (and just fun) moments in my life, otherwise, my memories of my life will fade faster than I can say "blog candy"...

And, that's what I'm writing about today - blog candy. Did you know there are blogs out here that offer "blog candy"? Yup... you read the blog, follow the blog and have an opportunity to win little prizes, too! Blog candy are cool little (and in this case, NOT so little!) freebies!

One of my favorite blogs today is offering blog candy in celebration of reaching a high point - 2000 hits! Can you imagine that? Wow, I'd love just ONE hit and she has 2000!!!!! I'm thrilled for her because I just LOVE her blog!!!!!! "My Corner of the Studio" here on blogger.com/blogspot.com.

Check it out when you have a minute... and if YOU also have a blog... copy and paste this url into YOUR post... leave her a comment, become a follower and YOU TOO could possibly win the blog candy! We all have until April 26th to enter!

Enjoy!

P.S. I'll get back to my "memory issue" later... did I mention I have a bad memory?

Are You Watching The Inauguration of Barack Obama?

I'm watching. I thought I was DVR'ing it, but apparently, it's not working. :-(

I think the most exciting aspect of this presidency is the fact that HOPE is actually alive. We as a country have fallen into Apathy and a general thinking that "why vote, it won't matter anyway". This presidential race has had MORE VOTERS turn out than prior races. People have gotten INVOLVED! Starbucks is giving away a FREE CUP OF LATTE for everyone who contributes 5 hours of community service this week! People are GETTING INVOLVED in their own communities and THAT's what it's all about. People. Community. Hope.

President Barack Obama is NOT the Messiah. He's not going to wave a magic wand and fix the world's problems. But, what his candicacy has done is bring people TOGETHER... those that believe in hope and dreams.

Perhaps the nay-sayers and Bush-supporters will always be on the outside saying "It'll never happen", but I prefer to be on the side of Hope.

Without Hope, what's the point? Obama may not be the reincarnation of Hope Eternal, but his great optimistic attitude is certainly a step in the right direction! Will he fix all problems? No. Will he try? Yes. Will this presidency be historic? Yes. Will Life Forever Change? No... but, we can be hopeful. :-)

Be happy, be honest, be hopeful. It makes life so much more worth living!
